What we collect
If you join a waitlist. Your email address, and which list you joined. That is all. We do not ask for a name and we do not buy or sell lists.
If you just visit. Page views through Vercel Web Analytics. This is cookieless. It counts which pages are viewed, with the referring site, the country, the type of device, and the browser and operating system, and it does not record who you are, does not follow you between sites, and does not build a profile of you. It also receives a few named events, none of which carries anything you typed: that a search ran on the home page or a card page, and how many results it found; the position of a home page result that was opened; which card was opened; which pairing on the home page was opened; and that someone joined a waitlist, and which one.
Our own event records. We also record a few kinds of event in our own database, which is hosted by Supabase: that a card was opened, and which one; that two seasons were compared, and which pair; the text of a search that found nothing, cut to 120 characters; and, on the Compare page, which steps of a comparison a visit reached, such as opening a picker, searching, picking a player, pressing Compare and whether a verdict appeared. Searches that find something are not recorded here, and on the Compare page we record only whether a search found anything, never what was typed. To tie the steps of one visit together, the Compare page makes up a random code each time it loads. It is not stored on your device, it is not reused on your next visit, and it is not linked to you or to any other record. Apart from that code, each record holds only the event, whether the visit was on a phone or a computer, and the time. No IP address is stored with it. We delete these records after 90 days.
If you ask for an AI-written comparison or card note. The first time a comparison or a card note is written, we store your IP address, the time and the kind of request. We use it only to limit how many of these one address can request, 30 an hour and 2 at once, so that nobody can run up the cost of the service. We delete these records after 24 hours.
What we do not collect
No advertising cookies. No tracking pixels from third party ad networks. No cross site tracking. We do not sell data to anyone, ever.
Why we are allowed to hold it
Waitlist emails are held on the basis of your consent, given when you submitted the form. Page views and event records are held on the basis of legitimate interest in understanding whether the site works, and are collected in a form that cannot identify you. IP addresses held for rate limiting are held on the basis of legitimate interest in preventing abuse of the service, for 24 hours.
Who else sees it
Supabase stores the waitlist, the event records and the rate-limit records. Vercel hosts the site and provides the page view analytics. Resend sends any email we send you. Each is a processor acting on our instructions.
Loading a page also fetches a script library from jsDelivr and player photos from media.api-sports.io, the image server of our football data provider. Saving or sharing an image also fetches a script from cdnjs, run by Cloudflare. As with any file your browser requests, each of these receives your IP address and basic browser details when it serves the file. We send them nothing else. They are not our processors, and their own privacy policies apply.
How long we keep it
Waitlist emails until you ask us to remove them, or until the list is no longer in use. Usage data for as long as the analytics provider retains it.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@vvonderxi.com and we will act within 30 days. You can stop any email from us by replying with "unsubscribe", or with your mail app's unsubscribe button where it shows one. You can also complain to the Belgian Data Protection Authority.
Changes
If this policy changes materially we will update the date above and, where it affects you, say so by email.
